Keeping the Freedom & Democracy Issue Alive!
The following is a statement to recent circulars and signature gathering
on "Bashing Iranians " to indicate that there is a conspiracy to discredit
Iranians & its government, to be specific on a 60 minutes program of CBS on
confessions of an Iranian terrorist, an ex-agent of Iran's Ministry of Information
& National security. In an invitation to protest by calling & signing a petition
of protest to this general trend:
Bashing Iranians or Deviation From the Real Issues:
Freedom & Democracy in Iran
I would like to give another view to what is presently circulating as Iranian
bashing or discriminating or international discrimination against Iranians and
their government. Contrary to the what this circulars and signature gatherings
claim Iranian in this country are NOT harassed or discriminated. General discriminations
or certain attitudes toward new comers are common and are for every new comers
everywhere, not a special issue for Iranians. You may ask different Iranian
professionals, ask people in academy, ask physicians, businessman, different
lines of life and you will find that Iranians are liked in this community in
general. IBM for the fact laid off a LOTS of people at IBM almost all IRANIANS
are untouched -- for the fact.
Every year many Iranian students are getting scholarship to come to states
and work at IBM facilities. Anybody who claims the contrary to this facts has
to prove it. Disregarding our country men who for their national sentiments
(Vatandoosti) are following the steps of organizers of Iranians signature collections
and make issue of non issues, in reality this is a tactic to deviate the people
of real line of Mobarezeh for freedom and democracy in Iran. A deviation of
real issues of Freedom & democracy in Iran and divert it to a non issue
matter of Iranians to be in danger out of Iran. And put everybody to defend
Islamic Republic from attackers! It only serves the Islamic Republic of Iran
to continue jailing, arresting and harassment of Iranian people who dare to
oppose them and keep closing the press and continue plundering the country,
s wealth.
In a country that we have so much backing of Iranians to take side with IRI
is not in interest of Iranians or our country. All these new issues makes the
Iranians and non-Iranians away from the real issue: Freedom & democracy
for Iran! Let us not deviate from the real issues!
At the time that the real war is inside the country, Iran, and great interests
of the people are at stake talking about non issue of discrimination of Iranians
in the US and making it and issue and place Iranian people in the same line
of Islamic Republic of Iran is a real counter play for Mobarezate Melalt.
Of course we have to stand against any discrimination or harassment and be
against any blockade of the country which will ruin the infrastructure of our
country Iran, however we do not have to make them a big issue as they are doing
it now. And never let the despotic government of Iran fool us and change the
issue and subject like is doing it now. And again let us remember that we never
had any problem at Shah's time in international status and against Iranians
(this is not an issue to defend the Shah's regime in every aspect and a defense
for dictatorial regime of Shah) and it only means that logically and history
of past twenty years proves it s that the IRI is responsible for all low esteem
of Iranians in general abroad if you want to compare it with the past period:
The result of playing irresponsible internationally. So we have to get a distance
from a government that has brought so much international problem and low esteem
for us. we should not identify ourselves with this regime of terror, inside
and outside of the country and we should be aware of tricks of its agents with
or without masks.
And keep the real issue of Freedom and Democracy alive!
