Join our campaign to save Maryam Ayoobi
Maryam, a mother with 3 children, accused of committing adultery has been sentenced to death by stoning by the Islamic regime of Iran. The
verdict against her was issued some months ago and was finalised on the 11th March 2001. She is in great danger to be killed in this savage and
barbaric way. Your support and immediate action is urgently needed to save her life.
Stoning is execution by torture. The accused is buried down to the waist in a ditch and the “right” size stone thrown at her until she dies. It
is unbelievable that such barbaric, horrendous and savage act still occurs in the world. It, however, is part and parcel of the Islamic
rules. It is, like the rest of the regulations of the Islamic governments, (Islamic Republic of Iran), suppressive, anti human, and
100% anti women.
People of Iran hate this regime and all its rulings. It was not long ago that through the set of activities of our campaign and that of the
Worker-communist Party of Iran, the support of the local people in Tehran and Bookan, and the international involvement of many
organizations, two women, Masoumeh Sadegian and Zoleykha Kadkhoda escaped stoning.
We can do it again. This is an appeal to all organisations to join our campaign and protest against stoning of Maryam
Ayoobi.

1- We condemn the Islamic Republic of Iran for crimes against humanity;
2- We demand the immediate freedom of Maryam Ayoobi and annulment of her sentence;
3- We demand an immediate ban on stoning;
4- We support the struggle of millions of women in Iran and abroad in
their struggle for freedom and a secular state.
